The Pink Duck’s Big Adventure

In a quiet little pond, all the ducks were yellow—except for Penny. Penny was pink!

The other ducks quacked and waddled together, but Penny always felt different.

One day, Penny sighed, looking at her reflection in the water. “I wish I were yellow like everyone else.”

Grandma Duck smiled. “You don’t need to change, Penny. You are special just the way you are.”

But Penny wasn’t sure. She wanted to fit in, so she decided to search for a way to turn yellow.

🐤 First, she rolled in golden sand.
But when she shook, the sand poofed away.

🍋 Next, she tried lemon juice.
But it only made her smell funny!

🎨 Then, she found a puddle of yellow paint.
But as soon as she jumped in the pond, the paint washed off!

Penny sighed. “I’ll always be different…”

Just then, she heard a tiny cry. A baby turtle was stuck in the mud!

Without thinking, Penny rushed over and pulled the little turtle free.

“Thank you!” the turtle cheered. “I’ve never seen a pink duck before!”

The other ducks gathered around, impressed.

“You’re easy to spot!” one said.

“And so brave!” said another.

Penny blinked. “You don’t mind that I’m pink?”

Grandma Duck chuckled. “Of course not! You’re one of a kind, Penny, and that makes you special.”

Penny quacked happily. From that day on, she loved being pink—because being different made her extraordinary.

And so, Penny’s story became a favorite bedtime tale, just like the magical adventures in Stories for Kids, where every story is filled with wonder, fun, and important lessons.
