In a faraway land, where animals walked and talked like humans, there lived two best friends: Oliver the Pig and Maxwell the Horse.
Oliver was clever and loved solving riddles, while Maxwell was strong and always ready to protect his friends. Together, they ran a tiny farm where they grew golden apples—fruits said to bring good luck.
But trouble always lurked nearby in the form of Henrietta the Hen —a sneaky, feathered trickster who wanted the golden apples for herself. She would sneak around at night, trying to steal them, but Oliver and Maxwell always found a way to stop her.

One evening, Oliver noticed strange footprints near the apple trees. “Henrietta is up to something,” he whispered to Maxwell.
Maxwell stomped his hooves. “Then we need a plan before she strikes!”
They worked late into the night, setting up a clever trick. They placed a basket of golden apples outside, but hidden beneath it was a pile of super sticky honey.
Just as the moon reached its peak, Henrietta crept in, her beady eyes gleaming. “Tonight, the golden apples will be mine!” she clucked, reaching for the basket.
But as soon as she touched it—SPLAT! Her feet got stuck in the honey! She flapped and squawked, but it was no use.
Oliver and Maxwell stepped out, laughing. “Looks like you’re in a sticky situation, Henrietta,” Oliver chuckled.
“Let me go!” she screeched. “Fine! I’ll leave your apples alone!”
Maxwell smiled. “We’ll set you free—but only if you promise to stop your tricks.”
Henrietta huffed but nodded. And from that day forward, she never dared to steal again. Instead, she helped them grow more golden apples, and they all became friends—sort of.

As Oliver and Maxwell watched the sunrise, Oliver grinned. “That was the smartest plan yet.”
Maxwell laughed. “And the funniest!”
And so, the pig, the horse, and even the mischievous hen learned that sometimes, the best way to defeat an enemy… is to turn them into a friend.
