Sam loved exploring his grandfather’s old house. It was filled with ancient books, dusty furniture, and a giant wooden almira (a tall cupboard) that no one ever opened.
One rainy afternoon, curiosity got the best of him. He gently pulled the rusty handle—and to his surprise, the door creaked open!
Inside, hidden beneath old clothes and papers, was a strange-looking gadget. It was shaped like a silver disk, with glowing blue buttons and the words “TIME-X 3000” written on it.
“What is this?” Sam whispered as he pressed a button.
BEEP!
Suddenly, the room vanished—and Sam found himself standing in the middle of a futuristic city!
Skyscrapers floated in the air, cars zoomed without wheels, and robots walked alongside humans. People wore glowing suits and spoke into tiny wrist devices.
A tall robot approached him. “Welcome, traveler. You have activated a Time Jump Device. You are now in the year 2125.“
Sam’s mouth fell open. He had traveled to the future!
Excited, he explored the city. He rode in a flying taxi, saw holographic animals, and even tried food pills that tasted like real pizza!
But soon, the gadget started beeping rapidly. A countdown appeared on its screen:
60… 59… 58…
“Oh no!” Sam panicked. “I need to get back before time runs out!”
He ran through the futuristic streets, dodging robots and zooming vehicles. The gadget beeped faster—10… 9… 8…
With one final leap, he pressed the biggest button.
WHOOSH!
Sam tumbled back into his grandfather’s house. The almira door slammed shut behind him. Everything was back to normal—except for one thing.
The Time-X 3000 had disappeared.
Had it all been real? Sam reached into his pocket and pulled out a tiny glowing coin from the future. He smiled.
Maybe one day, he’d find the gadget again… and visit the future once more.
